Nav. at Shoreview Park

This past Saturday the team was trying to meet up for the orienteering event at Shoreview Park in Shoreline. However, due to life's unknown surprise's, Tiff was stuck in San Diego forced to run on the beach shirtless, while Joe was stranded in Duvall, due to the unbelievable flooding that occurred the past week. This is a picture of some of the damage cause from the flood.

So, as a result Case was a lone ranger at the event, which was packed with teammates from DART-nuun, Mergeo and Team Peak Physique. Feelilng a bit intimidated with the company that was there initially, he got over it and started to focus. The first four cp's where pretty much no brainers and chose to go to a known trail on the way to 5. 6 and 7 were both quick and easy decisions and then came the difficult part, trying to navigate in tall buildings is for some reason extremely tough. Despite, the phobia, no mistakes led to a clean sweep of 8, 9, 10 and 11. Back into the trails (that were surprising dry), 12 and 13 were extremely obvious, however 14 caused some problems. Over running a trail and then decididing to cut through the bush has the potential to be disastrous, this was definitely the worst nav of the day, but making the quick decision to locate an already visited cp, got him back in the right direction. Controls 15-23 were pretty much clean as Case finished 12th out of 55 entrants.
