We got back to the cars, ate a quick bite to eat and heading off on the mtb's. Our objective was to explore the Griffin Creek area in between Carnation and Fall City - we took the SVT to the GC area where we connected onto some logging roads. The ride was moving along, when we decided to take some of the horse trails that aren't on the map we were using. We tried a couple of these the 2nd being much cooler than the first and got some fun video of us coming back down (I'll post some other time).
Back on the logging roads we go in hopes to find the furthest lake on the map. After guessing where the lake was we were able to find it and decided to bush whack to get to another road that was suppose to be there, it was but it wasn't maintained, we ended up bike bashing for an hour and a half before finding our way out and hitting the trail. With 3 flat tires and one broken spoke between the 3 of us we made it out of the bush just before dark and headed back to the park. After we called our wives and told them "to call off the search parties", we headed to Pete's club for a burger. Man, what a day.
