Tiff, Joe and I got together for a little fun over the weekend, meeting up at Magnuson Park in Seattle for one of CascadeOC's events. The course wasn't over challenging in the fashion of elevation gain, rather for me it was simply getting started with the basics!?! Rule #1... Orient the map before you run. I failed to do this and as a result was playing catch up with 7 minutes waisted heading in the wrong direction. Needless to say, the day was filled with a good competitive spirit along with great burgers at "The Ram" while watching the Huskies beat up on Cal. Go DAWGS!
This was a great pre-curser to the Fall Beast that the three of us will be doing (http://www.beastrace.com/). I may try to run the next "O" event on Dec. 1, as a final tune-up for the next days race. We'll see as the event comes closer.
