This is the time...

Even though it is the winter and it seems that the sky is only light for a couple of hours a day once we finally get home from work.  We still need to be getting out there and "doing" fitness.  For most endurance athletes this time of year is considered to be the off-season.  However, I am beginning to believe more and more that this time of the year is even more important than the actually racing or competitive season.  Why, you ask?
  • This is the time of year that you are able to heal your damaged body from the previous year's pounding.
  • This is the time of year to evaluate last year's results and be true to yourself.
  • This is the time of year that you re-evaluate your goals.
  • This is the time of year that you recommit to your fitness plans.
  • This is the time of year to go for it!
To help combat against the never ending challenges that we face during this time of year, I have found something that helps me maintain motivation. Although, I don't hit all of the sessions on the schedule it gives me a solid target to shoot for each and every day.
